Of course we got a cake for my mom’s birthday. My sister bought the cake from Vanille de Patisserie in San Marino.
What a pretty looking cake box! Let’s see what’s inside the box.
Pear Mousse Cake ($45.00)
The cake looked just as pretty as the box. Sister picked a pear mousse cake because mom likes fruit and the clerk said this cake is good and not too sweet. Top of the cake was decorated with berries and chocolate. I like the flower white chocolate. The cake had a mousse layer and a thin cake layer. I couldn’t taste the pear. It tasted more like…. caramel to me for some reason. But it was good, and not too sweet just like the clerk said.
My mom just turned 60. She doesn’t look her age at all. Still very young and pretty. ^^

That is such a pretty cake. I am usually discouraged getting cakes from non-Chinese bakeries, fear they are too sweet. But if it isnt sweet, I will give a try next time.
