After our brunch at Balboa Island, some people wanted to have frozen banana down the street. Frozen banana? I remember my mom used to freeze sliced banana when we were little and we ate it like dessert. I didn’t know there are actually shops that sell frozen banana.

There’s a place called Sugar ‘N’ Spice. It claimed to be the “original” frozen banana shop since 1945.

A few doors down, there’s Dad’s Donut, which also claimed to have the “original” frozen banana. So who has the “original” one? We still don’t know. But Dr. P and I picked Sugar ‘N’ Spice.

Besides frozen banana, they also serve ice cream and hot dog.

Frozen Banana (Medium) ($2.75) with Everything

We ordered Frozen Banana in Medium. Topping is free, and we chose “everything”. The frozen banana tasted exactly like what it was, frozen banana. It was really good though. Dr. P didn’t like the sprinkles, but I like both the sprinkles and the nuts.

Michelle and Hank went to Dad’s Donut to try Their small frozen banana is a little bigger than our medium banana. So if you want bigger banana, go to Dad’s Donut!
