I really like the bento from Sawtelle Tempura House. Dr. P likes it, too. Whenever I’m in that area and need to go to work later, I’ll go get a bento to go for dinner.
Bento ($5.50)
The way the bento was packed just make it looked so appetizing. There were a lot of different stuffs in this bento. Fried fish, chicken, egg, tempura pumpkin, and a few different types of pickled vegetables. You can a few bites of everything. The bento is enough for me to eat 2 meals.

This was bento from another day. They always give you a big piece of fried fish and chicken. But the chicken can be cooked in different sauces. This day I also got Japanese hamburger. Veggies are different every time. So the bento is different, but similar everyday. Still kind of exciting because you don’t know what you’ll get for that day. And $5.50 is very reasonable for the amount and variety of food you get, especially on the westside.
This place close early at 3pm. If you are in the area and want to get something to go, I highly recommend Sawtelle Tempura House’s bento.
