Yeah! We have a J.J. Bakery in Irvine, too! There’s also a “J.J. Bakery & CAFE” in Irvine. I thought it was the J.J. Bakery 小雅屋, but actually it’s called 思雅軒 in Chinese. I tried the bread from there before. It was alright, but not as good as the real J.J. Bakery.
Fruit Cake
I was in a “sweet” mood and bought all sweet cakes this time. I’ve always like fruit cake, but some of the American fruit cake are so sweet that it hurts my teeth when I eat it. I absolutely love J.J. Bakery’s fruit cake. It wasn’t overly sweet, and it was moist and simply delicious. I love eating this with a cup of hot coffee or tea.
Coffee Cake
I get the coffee cake almost every time. Dr. P tried it for the first time, and he likes it a lot. The cake was soft and airy, with a subtle coffee flavor.
Green Tea Honey Cake
Green Tea Honey Cake had a very strong green tea flavor. I like the flavor, but not the texture of the cake. The cake was a little too crumby for my taste.
Citrus Roll
Yum yum yum! I brought the Citrus Roll to school as a snack. I finished it in like one minute because it was so good!
My sister told me that the J.J. Bakery in Arcadia now sells Chinese breakfast items, and it was pretty good. I wish the Irvine location will do the same soon.
