It’s not my birthday yet. I am still 34! Just let me be 34 for few more days…. ok? haha…. My birthday is on the 16th, and that weekend is also Valentine’s weekend + Chinese New Year. So if I invite my friends that weekend, they have to choose between their family, their men, or me. I know I’d win, but I don’t want their family and men to be mad. So I decide to take myself out of the competition and had my first birthday dinner last Sunday at Orange Hill Restaurant. Hey, I only needed to compete with Super Bowl that day. haha…. ^^
I was looking for a restaurant with prix fixe menu with reasonable price, and came across Orange Hill Restaurant. From my internet research, I found out that they had a $21.95 3 course sunset dinner daily from 4:30pm to 6pm. Also people said this restaurant has a stunning view. I made an early dinner reservation for 5pm.

We had a big dinner party at Black Cherry Garden about 10 days ago. It was Wen‘s birthday party, congratulation party for Atsushi’s new job, and a farewell party to Black Cherry Garden.
Yakitori
I wasn’t sure how many yakitori we had that night. I was super full, and super satisfied with the food. After consuming a few glasses of red wine, I started forgetting to take pictures, and the pictures I did took turned out to be really blurry.

After a hard day of riding, our reward was, of course, some delicious food. The reason that kept me going the whole ride was because I was so looking forward to the spicy hot pot party afterward.

On August 15, we went to Dr. P’s friend, Pablo’s wedding at Crystal Cove Beach. Pablo and his wife live in East Coast. But they love California and visit here often. They like the sun and ocean so much that they wanted to have the wedding on the beach in California.
It was the first time we attended a beach wedding. I wore high heels and Dr. P wore dressed shoes. It was really hard to walk on the beach. We should’ve done what everybody else did, wore flip flops or sandals. Even the groom wore sandals!

After the beach BBQ party, we went to Dr. P’s friend, Fernando’s 30th birthday party.
