Canon SD1200 & Kitty Modeling
My camera died. Why did it always happen before I am about to take a trip? It happened before our Las Vegas trip last time. Same problem.

I know I know…. lots of scratches. I took this camera with me EVERYWHERE. Last time it broke, I fixed it for free because it was still under warrenty. I checked online for the repairing fee, it’ll be about $120. Well, I guess it’s time for my SD750 to retire.

Here is my new camera, Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS. I bought it at Sams Club for $199. Sorry, no actual camera picture because I don’t know how to take a picture of it with itself.

I didn’t want my new camera to get all scratched up like the old one. This was a bag I found at home that the camera can fit. So I guess it’ll be my new camera bag.

I used Kitty as my model to test out my new camera.

Super close up!

Kitty: “Yes, I am a model. Don’t I look pretty?”

I took these pictures in the AUTO mode with no flash.

Kitty: “Ok I’m sleepy now.”

Time to take a nap….
It sucks that my old camera broke. But (1) I am glad it happened now instead of when we are on our trip; and (2) I LOVE my new camera!!!!

I love your kitty’s color. How is your taking indoor photos, esp in dimmed lights? I need a new camera too. Ours is good at taking outdoor photos, but indoor, esp in dimmed light room, the photos turned out very badly.

I have the same camera. Pretty handy and easy to use. I use the “macro” function all the time – esp. for food pics =)
I like kitty’s nose closeup!! cute.

Looks like a great camera. And only $199!
I’ve been thinking about getting a new camera too. My current camera (Canon PowerShot SD300, yes very old) is all scratched up too. The color wasn’t as great and battery dies quickly. But I’m still thinking which model I should get.

“…because I don’t know how to take a picture of it with itself…”
Put the camera in front of a mirror and shoot at the mirror with a set timer…. I think that should work.
The “camera bag” looks nice and all, but it would be weird to take that out during hiking trip or something….

My older camera also broke down on me before. Not that many scratches as yours, but the lens opening and closing thing didn’t work anymore. It is a good idea to keep the camera in a case or bag by itself. That way, the lens doesn’t get scratched accidentally if the plastic cover covering the lens accidentally opens. I get the lens scratched so easily whenever I am lazy to keep my camera in its case. Three big scratches already on my lens, and I can’t clean it.
