Bento Time
Bento time again!

On Sunday I had dough cut noodle from China Islamic and Sirloin steak from Shrimp House. Leftover food is always good for bento. Also brought honeydew melon and a Meyer lemon.

More leftover from China Islamic. I mixed the spicy lamb stew with rice and added some broccoli. China Islamic used to one of our favorite restaurants. but lately the food just wasn’t as good as before. The lamb stew tasted a bit different. So food was worse, but price went up. Hmmm…. not good.

Sauteed lamb with cabbage and a small yam (or sweet potato?). I can never tell the difference between yam and sweet potato. See, I really don’t eat that much. How come I still gain weight?

My favorite bento of the week. I like leftover, but I like my mom’s fresh cooked food more. Sacha beef and onion, sauteed spinach with garlic, and shrimp, meatball, napa cabbage & glass noodle. Yum yum yum!
I’ve been looking at other people’s bento pictures on Flickr. Everybody “decorated” their bento, especially the Japanese style bento. I just don’t know how to make my bento that pretty. I wanna learn how to cut my veggies into flower and star shape, or make my bento look like Hello Kitty or something. Do you guys make your bento pretty? Or you just stuff food in like I do?

Yum, your bentos look good!
I don’t bother making mine pretty either. I just throw it all in a box.
