上周三同事Tom說看了我的blog，好想吃Alberto’s的墨西哥捲餅，所以星期四就幫同事們買了帶去，發現這家店的牛舌墨西哥捲餅無敵好吃啊！還有他們的飲料也是又便宜又超大杯又好喝，這星期我想我又會再度上門吧！

Tom from work told me that he read my post about Alberto’s Mexican Food and their burrito looks so good. So he asked me if I could bring food to the office. Coworkers placed their orders on Wednesday night. And I brought yummy burritos to work on Thursday.

Tripa Burrito ($4.50)

I wanted to try something different. Being Taiwanese, I am not afraid of organ meats. So I ordered a tripa (tripe) burrito. It had rice, bean, salsa and tripe.

The tripe wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would be the soft and tender stewed kind of tripe (like the Chinese kind). But it was fried tripe. It was crispy. It wasn’t bad, just not what I expected. So I was a little disappointed.

Lengua Burrito ($4.50)

Tom ordered a lengua (tongue) burrito. I traded half of my tripa burrito with half of his. OMG this burrito was the best! The tongue didn’t really taste like tongue to me. It just tasted like really tender and tasty beef. I love this burrito. Definately will get this again.

Fish Burrito ($3.60)

Both Claire and David ordered fish burrito. It was fried fish, lettuce, salsa and sour cream sauce. They said it was great. Claire said it was like a fish salad burrito. Seemed like a perfect burrito on a hot summer day. I want to try this next time.

Condiments

Last time I only got hot sauces. This time they gave me hot sauces and radish, lime and pickled carrot.

Tom and Claire ordered drinks as well. A giant cup of iced cold drink for $1.70.

Horchata ($1.70)

Tom had horchata. It’s a Mexican cinnamon rice drink. Very yummy.

Tamarindo ($1.70)

Claire had Tamarindo. It’s the Mexican version of the Chinese sour plum juice, but sweeter. I like this one, too.

I like Alberto’s more and more. Their food’s cheap and delicious. Portion’s big , too. When everything is costing more now, this little food stand is offering great food with great bargain.

I haven’t tried this one yet, the burrito looks great. We usually go to King Taco on Peck and get my usual Chicken quesadilla. Very good and cheap as well.
