I searched restaurants in Fountain Valley on Yelp, and Tsuruhashi came up as the #1 restaurant on the list. I had Japanese BBQ at Anjin in Costa Mesa before, and absolutely love it. I also like Gyu-Kaku. Dr. P has never tried Japanese BBQ before, and was eager to try when I suggested the restaurant.
Tsuruhashi is a small place. We arrived earlier in the evening to avoid the wait. The restaurant opens late, till 1am I think. It’s a good place to drink beer and eat BBQ at late night.
