Bishop是個離Mammoth大約30英哩的小鎮，我們開到這裡的時間大約下午兩點，公園先生說要帶我去吃一家他每次去毛象山都會停留的一家比薩店，店不大，很有小鎮的感覺，老闆很親切，還送了我們一片免費的比薩，肉丸潛艇堡份量非常巨無霸，我們兩個人都差點吃不完，果然是家不賴的店，公園先生才會對它情有獨鍾啊！

Bishop is a small town about 35 miles away from Mammoth Mountain.  We got there about 2pm and stopped to grab lunch.

Dr. Park took me to Nik-n-Willie’s.  He used to come up to the Eastern Sierra for camping with his brother and cousin all the time when he was younger.  And they always stopped by this little pizza & subs place for food.

毛象山位在洛杉磯的東北方大約350公哩的地方，需要5小時車程，冬天時是滑雪勝地，夏天則是玩越野腳踏車和爬山釣魚的好地方，這次開車我們走14號接395號公路，沿路風景真的非常漂亮，有山有湖有藍天還不時看到牛啊馬啊的，沿路欣賞美麗的風景，5個小時好像也過得蠻快的耶！

Mammoth Mountain is about 350 miles away from Los Angeles.  We took the 395 Freeway driving northeast for about 5 hours.  In the winter, people go to Mammoth to ski and snowboard.  In the summer, people go for mountain biking, hiking and fishing.

5 hour drive was long.  But it didn’t feel that long because the view along Route 395 was beautiful.  I only took very few pictures and they really don’t do any justice to the breathtaking view.

啟程前拿了買一送一的折價卷，到Jack In The Box買了他們新推出的早餐碗，有蛋、起司、火腿、青紅椒和炸薯餅，我覺得不錯吃，但公園先生覺得有點油膩，是真的吃到最後會有點膩的感覺啦！但是這一碗吃下去可以飽很久，想必熱量也一定很高吧？

Before leaving Los Angeles at 9am last Thursday for our trip, I stopped by Jack In the Box with a buy 1 get 1 free coupon to pick up breakfast for Dr. Park and I.

Denver Breakfast Bowl ($2.99)

Breakfast Bowl is a new item at Jack In The Box.  The picture looked so good on their ad.  There’s a “Hearty” bowl with sausage and bacon.  I picked the “Denver” bowl.  Hash brown at the bottom, topped with egg and ham, cheese and peppers.  I think it tasted pretty good, but Dr. Park thought it was too greasy.  It was the fried hash brown that was a bit greasy.  I finished my bowl and was pretty much full for the whole day.

我們從毛象山玩回來囉！這次玩的都是戶外活動，整個人曬黑了一圈，當然不光只有玩耍，也是吃了好料的，遊記食記馬上出爐。先給大家看張出發前整理行李時，小貓咪霸占行李箱的照片，真是有夠可愛，呵呵！

We’re back from our 3 days Mammoth Mountain trip.  I had so much fun playing outdoor and came back few shades darker.  We also ate lots of great food.  It was a really fun and relaxed trip before my hectic schedule with school and work started.

Before I start writing about the trip, I wanna show a cute picture of Kitty sitting in my suitcase.  When I took out the suitcase to pack, as soon as I opened it, Kitty jumped in.  Strawberry used to do the same thing!  I tried to get her out to pack, but she kept on jumping back in.  Why do cats like suitcases/boxes/bags so much?  Maybe I should just leave the suitcase out to make it her bed?  haha….  so cute!

最近這一個多月來每天都覺得時間不夠用，但是都還是有很努力的寫blog，我想要跟大家報告一下，我決定要再來念點書，下星期一就開課了，我想讀的是獸醫技術人員的課程，課業還蠻繁重的，所以接下來又要上班又要上課，時間更加不夠用，我還是會很努力的寫blog，記錄我的生活，但是速度有時可能會慢一點囉！至於最近大家的留言我都有看到，但是還沒時間一一回覆，等一有時間我一定會馬上回覆大家，更抱歉的是之前的抽獎活動也拖延了，唉！真是好多事情沒做好啊！那…. 明天我和公園先生又要出門去玩三天，這是最後放鬆的機會，度假回來後就要展開無比忙碌的生活啦！樂觀一點想，我接下來的生活一定是非常「充實」的呀！

I’ve been having this feeling of not having enough time lately. Besides work, there are just so many things needed to be done.

I’ve decided to go back to school. I love animals and would love to work in the field. I got into the Registered Veterinarian Technician program at Mt SAC. After I finish the program in 2 years, I would love to work in a zoo. And who know? I might like it so much and go on to become a veterinarian. School starts next Monday. I will be even busier.

上周六是同事Claire的女兒Mikayla兩歲生日百人派對，我負責準備適合小朋友的小點心，雖然做的東西種類不多，但是要做100人份可是大工程，我從星期五的下午一點開始準備一直通宵做到星期六早上七點完成，會不會太誇張？做完之後的感想是以後我只接30人份以下的生意。雖然做餐點做得很累，但是派對蠻好玩的，跟著一堆小朋友一起玩水笑鬧真是很開心，連公園先生都玩上癮不想走呢！

Last Saturday was Claire’s daughter Mikayla’s 2 year old birthday party.  Claire invited more than 100 guests and awarded me the catering job.  I have never cooked for 100 people before.  Even though I just need to make a few dishes, but for 100 servings?  That’s a lot of work!

I woke up on Friday around 1pm.  Went shopping for food.  Started preparing right after I got home.  I worked until Saturday morning at 7am to finish everything!  I was soooo stressed out and actually started to hate cooking.  Cooking for 100 people is seriously not a one person job.  I will never do a catering job for more than 30 people.

I made 6 dishes.  All are kid-friendly food.

120 Pig In A Blanket.  This one was pretty easy to make.  Wrapped mini sausages with croissant pastry then baked.

今天這篇純粹是抱怨文，我們公司那位韓國大叔John，Potluck派對那天說他忘記帶菜，但是卻記得帶了盤子和筷子來大吃大喝，大家出錢幫經理買的禮物是自願的，算好人數和金額後同事就去買了，大叔說要貢獻$10卻遲遲不肯交，因為我是派對負責人，和大叔討錢時他居然和我吵起來，當我開始數落他potluck也沒帶菜還吃最多時，他居然睜眼說瞎話的說辦公室裡沒人告訴他那天有potluck party，明明前一天我還特別提醒他，他自己還說要帶雞翅，還和別的同事討論了一番，這個謊言讓所有同事一整個傻眼，唉！世界上怎麼有這樣厚臉皮不知羞恥的人啊？

WARNING: This is a long complaining post.  I just need to vent!

I wrote about my co-worker John Park and complaining about how selfish and inconsiderate he is.  But this time he pushed me over the limit.  I was so angry at him that we had a yelling match at work.

John Park is a 50 something old divorced Korean guy.  Everybody at work already knows that he is selfish and obnoxious.  We had a few confrontations before.  But this time was the worst of them all.

As I mentioned in the last post, we had a potluck party at work for our manager.  Everybody was supposed to bring a dish.  We had a sign up sheet for people to write down the dishes they were going to bring so we wouldn’t have people brining the same dish.  On the same sheet, we also asked people to write down if they were willing to contribute $10 to get a wedding gift.

我們經理Lorelyn要結婚啦！只是公證結婚沒有宴客，但是我們大家覺得還是要幫他辦個小小的派對慶祝一下，這次大家都帶了好好吃的菜(除了那個討厭自私的韓國大叔，沒帶東西又吃最多，後氣死我了，等等來寫一篇抱怨文)，我們還買了性感內衣當禮物呢！

Our manager, Lorelyn, is getting married.  It will be a very small and simple wedding.  Since there is no reception for the wedding, we decide to have a small potluck party at work to celebrate the special occasion for her.  Everybody brought delicious food (except that selfish old Korean guy, John.  I have to write another post just for him). 

Turkey, Ham & Cheese Pinwheels

I made pinwheel wraps.  Whole wheat tortilla, feta & spinach cheese spread, turkey, ham, and 2 different kinds of cheese.  This appetizer dish was very easy to make.  Great snack for kids, too.  This dish was gone in 5 minutes.

上個周末是8月8日父親節，但是弟弟要上班，所以我們星期一中午才請爸爸吃飯慶祝，爸爸想吃辣所以選了大湘園，這天點的菜都很不錯呢！大家吃辣吃的滿身大汗又流鼻涕的真是過癮！

August 8th was Father’s Day in Taiwan.  Since that was the date my dad was used to, we don’t celebrate the US June Father’s Day and still follow the Taiwanese holiday.  My brother had to work last weekend.  So we postponed the celebration to Monday.  My dad loves spicy food.  He picked Hunan Seafood for our father’s day lunch.   

小炒黑山羊肉 Toss-Fried Mutton with Cilantro ($9.98)

It was dad’s holiday, so we let him do all the ordering.  My family loves lamb (or mutton).  The toss-fried mutton with cilantro was really good, and spicy.  I like to mix it with my rice.
